iBamboo is eco-friendly, natural speaker "dock" for iPhone

A new speaker dock called iBamboo will soon ship, and it's simply a length of bamboo wood with a hole cut out in the middle that can accommodate an iPhone 4 or 4S. The resonance of the wood amplifies the sound coming out of the iPhone's single speaker and there are no wires or power source needed. As such, there are no traditional technical specifications to speak of.Also unclear is how much of a volume boost the bamboo tube actually grants the iPhone. When the iBamboo ships, it will cost just $6. A more expensive and less natural iBamboo Urban is also being considered, made of recycled plastic. The makers are so far gauging interest for such an offering, and not yet producing it.
