iOS Marvel vs Capcom 2 beats street date [U}

Previously reported to be available the week of April 30th, Capcom's Marvel Vs Capcom 2 iOS port is now available in the iTunes App Store. Marvel vs Capcom 2 is a 2D animated sprite fighter originally released 2000 in the arcade, and at home on the Dreamcast, Playstation 2, and the Xbox.Capcom characters and Marvel superheroes make up the arsenal of fighters, with 28 available from each universe. A sequel, Marvel Vs Capcom 3, was released in early 2011 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is a universal application and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, iPad 2, and current generation iPad, running iOS 5.0 or greater. The initial release boasts touch controls unique to the title, with no mention of compatibility with bluetooth external controllers, like the iCade series of controllers. An introductory sale prices the game at $3 for launch week, and $5 thereafter.
