How To Delete Your Instagram Account

Wow, take a day off and a company gets bought for a billion.

Yesterday I decided to extend my Easter holiday by taking the day off.  The laptop remained off all day and I caught virtually no tech news all day (some days you just need a break).  So I wake up this morning and find out that Facebook purchased Instagram for a cool $1 Billion.  $1,000,000,000.  Not a bad day for the two guys who developed the photo sharing service eh?

Now I fully admit I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook so the idea of them having yet another source of information on me is, well, not that exciting.  So the first thing I did this morning as check to see just how I can go about deleting my Instagram account.  It turns out it is pretty simple.  If you go to your Account, then go to Support and type in “I want to delete my account”, you will be show a hyperlink in which to go do it.  I’ve pasted a screenshot below so you can see the URL to go to.
