Adobe has posted a v1.2 update to Revel, a photography app for both Macs and iOS devices. Previously known as Carousel, the software is mainly a client for a matching cloud service where users can store and share photos. Basic editing tools handle tasks like filters, exposure, and cropping. The v1.2 update introduces better organization options, including date/time correction, and labeling and grouping photos by event.Users can now share, export, and delete several photos at once, and choose to view images in a grid, and/or only ones marked as favorites. The iOS app has gained some improvements in editing performance, and all editions now support several more languages: French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Korean.
The Mac release demands OS X 10.7, while the iOS version requires iOS 4.2 or later. Both apps are technically free, but come with just a 30-day trial account, after which users must pay $6 a month or $60 a year for continued cloud service. Adobe notes that if a Revel trial ended before April 12th, downloading the v1.2 update will reset the trial period.
