Following a delay of nearly a week after repeated denial of service attacks, low-cost Sprint reseller Voyager Mobile has launched in 22 states. Voyager provides Sprint's 3G and WiMAX network for $39 a month, contract free. Alternatively, a $19/month unlimited-talk plan is available. China's Ministry of Commerce has approved Google's acquisition of Motorola. The European Commission and the US Department of Justice approved the merger in February, so few hurdles remain for the deal. China has ordered Google to keep its Android operating system free for five years as a condition of the approval. As part of the $12.5 billion deal, Google will own Motorola's 17,000 patents as well as acquiring Motorola's ongoing multinational legal disputes with Apple and other companies.
