eBay, Google Currents apps get updates for third-gen iPad

eBay has released an overhauled iPad app, bringing it to v2.0.0. The app now supports the Retina display on the third-generation iPad, but also has a new interface, for instance featuring a customizable homescreen. Several user-requested features have been added, such as better search, a Back button, and the ability to revise listings.Search results can now be viewed in three different ways, and item images are available in "ultra-high" resolutions. eBay is also promising more notifications, and several unspecified minor improvements. The app runs on any iPad using iOS 4 or later.

Google has separately posted a new version of Currents, its magazine-like news reader for iOS. The v1.1.1 update adds support for the third-gen iPad's Retina display, but is otherwise minor, only making bugfixes. The title is a free download for any iOS 4-compatible device.
