Jim Dalrymple of The Loop has put a damper on speculation that Apple could be preparing to kill off its Mac Pro desktop line. During his "Amplified" podcast with Dan Benjamin, Dalrymple responded with a simple "No" when asked if he though there was any chance that Apple would end the Mac Pro line. Dalrymple is said to have good connections within the secretive company, and he has a solid track record with regard to Apple predictions. Dalrymple's prediction may ease the anxieties of the now nearly 16,000 fans of the professional-grade machines who signed on to a Facebook petition asking Apple to refresh the Mac Pro.Microsoft's SkyDrive sees update

A blog post on the Windows Team Blog details new features Microsoft has brought to its SkyDrive cloud storage app. The update will allow Windows 8 users to grab photos on other SkyDrive-enabled PCs directly from within the Photos app. Also, SkyDrive for OS X will no longer show an app icon in the doc when running. The update also raises the number of total files in the SkyDrive folder from 150,000 to 10 million. The update will be rolled out to SkyDrive users over the next week or so.

Apple bumps storage limits for iCloud Keys

Apple developers may be pleased to find out today that Apple has increased the storage limits for the iCloud Key Value Store. The Key Value Store is a means by which developers can sync small amounts of user data via iCloud synchronization. The limit had been previously set at 64KB, but Apple will now allow developers to store up to one megabyte of data in the cloud.
