One of the features in iOS 5 for iPad is the ability to use Multitasking Gestures. The feature has been around since iOS 4 but until the release of iOS 5, it was only available to developers. With the release of iOS 5 it became a public-facing feature.
The concept is simple: By using 4 or 5 fingers, you can easily move between open applications on your iPad by swiping left or right, you can minimize an app by pinching your fingers together and you can view the multitasking bar by swiping up on your iPad.
