Google is sending out invites to a San Francisco event scheduled for next week focused on Google Maps. The invite, which shows Google's signature map pinpoint looming over the San Francisco coastline, promises invitees that the event will reveal "the next dimension of Google Maps" and suggests the possibility of new features.The full text of the invitation promises that Vice President of Google Maps and Google Earth Brian McClendon will be at the event to give attendees "a behind-the-scenes look at Google Maps," as well as a "demo of some of the newest technology," and "a sneak peek at upcoming features that will help people get where they want to go
